To draw or not to draw, there is no question! House design software is NOT for me.
I am a total klutz when it comes to putting pictures on paper. My fingers develop amnesia and stick drawings is all I can do.
Of course if you don't want to know what it is, I can make the paper look pretty...but so can a five year old.
So under the circumstances, it's safe to say I don't want to create
my Southwestern Dream Home in one of those nifty home design software programs.
Ok, I have three of my own sitting on the shelf in my office collecting dust, and they look
really pretty sitting there. But here's the deal, I know you are not my twin, and you can
probably make me look like that five year old when you use the software.
So just to make it fair for you, I thought I'd just get someone's opinion and show you which
one they think is the best. I'll stick with The Sims (hey, I can do that!) and you can do
the real thing, ok?
Here's a
comprehensive review
where users voted for the software they consider to be best. It gives information about learning curves, how much computer you might need to use the software, and price/purchase info.
Here's another site that gives information on different programs and gives you a rundown
of why different levels of software might be the best choice for you. It also directs you to
websites where you can
download house design software
packages for free and try them out before you buy. After as many house design software products as I've bought, I'd say this is a great value.
I may try one or two out and see if I can improve my picture a little. Just keep on keeping on, and remember your mantra...
"My Southwestern Dream Home WILL be a reality."
