Solar Energy is more accessible now than ever!

Solar Power

For most of our lives, solar energy has been beyond the reach of the average homeowner. The costs were astronomical and in terms of the savings you could receive from the installation of a solar power energy system for your home, the return on the investment had a very steep curve. In the past, it would take anywhere from ten to twenty years to save enough money on our power bill to pay for the installation of the equipment.

Although that was true in the past, today the cost of partial or total conversion to solar energy is much more affordable. To make it even more possible, power companies are offering rebates in many cities and states that reduce the cost dramatically. Furthermore, the U.S. Government has some rather nice tax credits available for homeowners that install solar power.

Today, with rebates and tax credits (see Energy Star ), the cost can be cut nearly in half, reducing the payback period to something between five and seven years.

Solar panels are very durable, normally warranted by manufacturers for ten or fifteen years, and are known to last 20 or more years with only minimal repairs. When you factor in the increased value of your home, and the savings in the cost of power over an extended period of time, the savvy homeowner can reap the profits of a wise decision such as this for many years to come.

Beyond the financial considerations, it’s obvious to the average citizen that fossil fuels are on the way out. In as little as 20 years, the world’s oil reserves, coal and other fossil fuels could be depleted. Why wait for energy shortages to force us to find ways to conserve our precious resources? We’ve recently been brought to our senses here in the U.S. by the steep rise in the price of oil. Our neighborhood gas pumps are a glaring reminder that oil is not as easily gotten as it once was.

Heating your home with natural gas or propane can have the same effect on your pocketbook. Water heaters, cooking appliances and clothes dryers are all a grim reminder of the future that awaits us if we continue to squander the earth’s precious resources. If those items are fueled by electricity in your home, here’s even more reason to consider solar power.

Because I believe Solar Energy, wind energy and other forms of alternative energy are becoming a more and more necessary alternative to the local power company, I have prepared a ten-part report on Solar Energy that I’d like you to receive with my compliments. This report will provide detailed information every homeowner needs to begin taking the steps toward a more energy-conscious home.

In this report, delivered in The Southwestern Gazette over the next five months (twice monthly), you’ll learn how to figure how much solar energy your home will require and how to figure the cost of such a system. There’ll be sections on how to do-it-yourself and how to find the right contractor for the job if you choose that route. All the questions I had while searching high and low for information will be yours right in your inbox. Easy, great price, useful, what more can you ask?

I won’t be offering this report on this site, so the only way to get it for free will be to subscribe. After the ten parts of the report are complete, I’ll offer it for sale on this site for $15.95. Others sell “books” for more and provide much less than the knowledge provided here. Take advantage of this opportunity while it’s free.
