All Southwestern architectural styles tend to mimic the surrounding terrain, incorporating earthtones and softly muted colors. Spanish style homes, including Mediterranean and Spanish Mission make use of Spanish tile for roofs. These help to reduce the effect of the summer heat.

types of homes derived their origins from the Native Americans, who built their homes of mud and straw in the earliest forms of adobe. This style was adapted and improved upon by the Spanish and later became some of our
